This week has been a good week of training for me. I’ve been travelling around the North of England a fair bit, visiting Harrogate and Pontefract. I’ve had some really good training sessions at both venues and I’m excited to go to the US for my next events in a week or so (Carol Weymuller and the US Open).
This week I also announced a partnership with Club La Santa – Club La Santa in Lanzarote in my opinion is the best training resort in the world. There I can train in state of the art facilities in a warm, relaxed environment. I am so excited to spend a week there. As part of my week I will be delivering two squash master classes. I am honoured to be the first to run clinics on the four newly built squash courts. I am proud to follow in other athletes footsteps like Joanna Rowsell and Dame Sarah Storey who have both given master classes at Club La Santa. I am really looking forward to getting on court and helping people improve their squash.
Also this week I helped with a New York Times piece on Nicol as she plays the Asian Games this week. Here is the link to the article. Hope everyone enjoys it – http://www.nytimes.com/2014/09/19/sports/nicol-david-seeks-5th-asian-games-gold-medal.html?_r=0
