Senior Career Highlights & Goals

Since turning full time aged 19 in 2003, I have absolutely loved it. I continue to receive great support from England Squash and racketball, Sport England and the English Institute of Sport (EIS). I began my professional career playing smaller WISPA events of $4,000. This was a fantastic way to start as I carried on my winning ways from juniors. Although I wasn't winning events I wasn't losing 1st round which meant my confidence kept high. I reached a final in one of my first tournaments in Carcassone in France and it was great. Since then with my ranking rising I have made the final of the Swiss open twice and have won the German Open in 2004 for my first WISPA title. As my ranking continued to rise I have increased the size of tournaments I have been playing and now try to play as many of the big ones as I can. This is really necessary as it enables me to keep my ranking as high as possible. In 2006 I won the Wolverhampton Open which was $10000 and defended my title the year after in 2007 when it was $15000. Also in April 2007 I represented England at Senior level for the first time which was a big achievement for me and I broke into the top 10 in the world for the first time. In 2008 I reached the final of the British Closed, this was also my first apperance on T.V and then in April 2008 I won my biggest WISPA tournament to date the $20,000 Irish Open. Then in December 2008 I won my 2nd $20,000 event beating Rachel Grinham who was 2 in the world at that time 3-2 to win the Monte Carlo Classic. The 2009 season was up and down. My career high ranking up to this point is 7 in the world. I represented England again at the European's where we won again and I also played my 1st World Teams where we finished 2nd. In December 2009 I retained my Monte Carlo title beating Madeline Perry 3-2 in the final.

My goal for this season ('10-11) are to break inside the top 5 in the world, to win a medal at the Commonwealth Games in Dehli and to win more WISPA titles and get more regular wins over players ranked top 4 in the world.

My goals for the future are to get as high up the rankings as possible, continue to represent England at senior level and win as many WISPA/National titles as possible.
