England Squash brings together 38 county organisations and is responsible for the promotion and organisation of squash throughout England. Along with many things England squash organises coaching, junior squash development, county weekends, English ranking lists both junior and senior and much more.
However, the setup within England Squash that has benefited me the most is the way in which youngsters including myself come through the England ranks by playing designated events organised by England Squash.
Along with all this, England Squash has the responsibility to nominate players to join the World Class Performance Programme and so greatly improves that juniors chances of making it to the top level of the senior ranks. After joining the programme England Squash also provide free coaching from the National coaches throughout England which is obviously another massive way in which we are supported. It is through being on the programme and the decision from the national coaches that you get the privilege to represent England at events such as the European juniors and the World juniors, which provided important experience for the future. This procedure continues for selection throughout the seniors as well.
